Airtel Money vs M-Pesa fees
Airtel Money's biggest fee advantage is that transfers between two Airtel Money accounts are completely free, at any amount. This is different from M-Pesa, which charges for sends above a small threshold even between two M-Pesa users.
For cross-network transfers, sending from Airtel Money to M-Pesa or another network now costs the same as Safaricom's own send tariff, band for band. The other place Airtel still saves you money is wallet-to-bank transfers, which are free on Airtel Money.
